Nuttakamon Supattranont

Nuttakamon Supattranont (b. 2000) began playing the trumpet at age 7, performing with the marching bands of Rajavinit School and Patumwan Demonstration School in Thailand. Her talent quickly became evident, and in 2017, she successfully auditioned for the Thai Youth Orchestra. That same year, she won First Prize at the Summa Cum Laude competition in Vienna, Austria, and was awarded the Gold Medal at the SET Music Competition.

Nuttakamon has held prestigious positions, including principal trumpet of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music Youth Orchestra in 2018 and Siam Sinfonietta. Her role with Siam Sinfonietta led to a performance at the New York Music Festival. She has participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Dr. Carole Reinhart, Otto Sauter, Tage Larsen, Pacho Flores, and Boston Brass, enhancing her technical and artistic skills.

In 2016, Nuttakamon enrolled in the Young Artist Program (Pre-College) at Mahidol University, where she studied classical trumpet under Mr. Alongkorn Laosaichuea and Dr. Joseph Bowman. Her exceptional abilities earned her a full scholarship from Mahidol University the following year. 

Nuttakamon graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music with Honors (Highest Distinction) from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, studying under Mr. Jon Paul Dante and Mr. Lau Wen Rong. During her time there, she won the highly competitive concerto competition. Currently, she is a section trumpeter with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
